Welcome to the Colorado Kinship Connection Website
Kinship caregivers are people who are raising a relative’s child or adolescent; or, in many situations are raising a child or adolescent that is not related but with whom there is a significant connection and commitment to provide care as long as necessary. As kinship caregivers you are not alone, and instead you are a member of a large and growing community of caring people in Colorado.
This website provides local and statewide information about organizations and programs that may be helpful for kinship caregivers. This is a
resource based website with information including but not limited to public benefits, permanency options, safety, and normal developmental milestones. Though it is a kinship website, the information is also applicable to biological, foster, and adoptive families.
The resource information is intended solely for informational purposes and does not imply endorsement by the Colorado Department of Human Services.
The County Resources section will help you in finding resources specific to the county you live in. You can find information on Aging Services, County Departments, Education, Community Services, Child Care, and Health in this section.
